What is a text cleaner?
A text cleaner is a small tool that takes text you copied from somewhere else and tidies it up. When you paste from an email, a PDF, a website or a Word document, hidden formatting often comes along: double spaces, stray tabs, empty lines and broken paragraphs. This tool strips that noise so you get plain, readable text you can reuse anywhere.
What it removes
Out of the box it collapses repeated spaces into one, trims the spaces at the start and end of every line, and shrinks large blank gaps down to a single blank line. With a couple more options ticked it can also pull out leftover timestamps, smart quotes and bullet symbols, leaving only your words.
How to clean text
Paste your text into the top box, glance at the character, word and line counts, then choose which options you want. Click Clean text and the result appears below with its own counts. Copy it, download it as a .txt or .md file, or swap it back up to run another pass.

Keep the default options on (collapse extra spaces, trim line ends, collapse multiple blank lines), paste your text, then click Clean text. Double spaces become single spaces and big vertical gaps shrink to one blank line.
Can it fix text copied from a PDF?
Yes. PDF copy often arrives with broken line breaks and odd spacing. Normalize line breaks and collapse extra spaces handle most of it, and you can add turn line breaks into paragraphs for flowing text.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The cleaner runs entirely in your browser with simple text rules. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.
How do I undo the cleanup?
Use Swap input/output to move the cleaned result back into the input box, adjust the options, and clean again. Reset clears both boxes to start over.
